The Ovens and King Football Netball League has received an early Christmas present with long time supporter WAW Credit Union agreeing to continue as the Major Sponsor of the league for the next three years.
After their recent long-term deal came to a close, the league and WAW Credit Union were both keen to continue their partnership, making a new deal easy to strike.
Under the new conditions, WAW Credit Union will be the league’s major sponsor for season’s 2016, 2017 and 2018 and will having naming rights on the league as well as the finals series, Senior Football & A grade Netball competitions.
The Senior Football & A Grade Netball MVP will also continue to be known as the WAW Player of the Year Awards.
OKNFL general manager Jeremy Wilson said it the league was delighted to have the continued support of WAW Credit Union.
“WAW Credit Union has been a long term partner of the league and we are delighted that they will continue to support the league for another three years,” he said.
“It’s with the support of WAW Credit Union that the league has been able to continue to grow each and every year.
“It’s a great deal for the league and for WAW Credit Union, and both parties are keen to work together to continue to promote the OKFNL.”
With the release of the draw just last week, Wilson said the season, which begins on March 25, would come around quicker than most people think.
