WHILE it has been a fairly low key off season out at Milawa, the Demons’ list has been strengthened once more with the addition of proven goal kicker Dylan Pritchard.
Pritchard, who has 41 senior Ovens and Murray matches at Wangaratta Rovers and Myrtleford, spent the past two years at Beechworth where he booted 118 goals in 32 games.
The elusive half forward shapes as an ideal inclusion in Milawa’s attack, which took a hit with the departure of Nathan Hooper.
Demons co-coach John Conroy said Pritchard was looking forward to being part of a side in contention for a premiership, and presented plenty of value to the team.
“Dylan has been playing senior footy for seven or eight years now and has only played the one final, so that was the biggest motivation for him to come across,” Conroy said.
“He’s someone we’ve spoken to previously and the timing was right for him now.
“He had three years at Rovers while I was there and he always had plenty of talent, but he just couldn’t get a good run at it back then due to injuries.
“He has played some great footy at Beechworth over the past couple of years and he is going to give us something we really lacked last year, which is that bit of zip across half forward.”
