TARRAWINGEE escaped a third quarter fight back from Moyhu to secure an eight-goal win, 51 goals to 43.
The Bulldogs led at the main break by 11 goals, and looked set for a comfortable win, before Hoppers defenders Loren Gathercole and Emma Tetai cut off passes, affected shots and created general havoc for the Tarrawingee shooters who managed just five goals for the quarter.
The Bulldogs shot just 36 per cent for the quarter, after shooting 90 and 83 per cent in the previous quarters.
At the other end, Moyhu’s Emma Witham shot 10 goals at 72 per cent for the quarter, while goal attack Holly Judd managed four goals, cutting the lead to two goals at the final break.
The Bulldogs turned their shooting around shooting 15 goals at 94 per cent, while the Bulldogs defenders kept the Hoppers to just nine for the final term.
Gathercole and Tetai were appropriately named best on court for their side, while Witham’s 26 goals was also a focal point for the Hoppers.
The Bulldogs’ best were centre Maddie Canning, goal keeper Tegan Seymour and shooter Amanda Bell’s 21 goals at 88 per cent.
