GLENROWAN rose to the occasion for Nigel Robinson’s first game of the season, registering their 10th win of the year and celebrating with a 205-point demolition of Greta.
It looked ominous early for the Blues with Glenrowan’s superior ball movement and quick entries into the forward line setting up three early Matt Robinson goals.
Mitch Potts was the driving force for the Tigers all game, setting up superbly behind the ball, hitting the contest at pace for a handball receive that led to long and high delivery into the Tigers’ forward line.
The Tigers conceded a goal to Lachie Hadden early, but wouldn’t allow another to be scored until the last quarter when Chris Dube got reward for his effort throughout the match slotting a major.
It was a 92-point deficit at halftime, before a 13 goal term from Glenrowan led by Karl Norman who broke free to impose his will upon the game, breaking tackles, kicking goals and setting up teammates.
