The Under 14 boys started last week's game like a house on fire, hard at it and a couple of good passages of play saw them with early ascendency.
Unfortunately with eyes only for the ball Taz and Cody collided heavily and were both worse for the wear. After a brief stint in hospital both boys have recovered well.
After a disappointing second quarter, to the boys credit, undermanned, they fought out the second half really well.
Both Aden and Drew stepped up when needed, whilst Harvey and Decklin continued their good form, always doing the team things regardless of where they are playing. Both Bailey and Braydie played their best games for the year, while Connor Crowley's determination is fantastic to watch.
Today's another day and we just need to keep doing the team things and results will come.
Congratulations to one of our little brigade - Connor Crowley, who plays his 50th U/14's game for the club today. Well done Connor, your guts and determination are something to be admired for such a little fella.
The Under 17's had a great, exciting game. A huge thank you to the Finley Football Club and their boys for helping us out with some players last week. Peter and Reilly were consistent all game.
This is a new week let's turn our fortunes around and have a real red hot crack.
The first half of the Midday Show was good but we fell away in the last half. To be a competitive team, we need to work hard together and for each other for four quarters. The awards this week went to Dylan Mark, Jordan Haynes and Nathan O'Connell.
After not playing last week due to other commitments it's to be a big congratulations to Scott Kelly this week who will be playing his 50th reserves game for the Tocumwal Football Netball Club - this is a huge achievement as it has taken quite a few years to reach. Well done Scott, it's great to have you back at the club.
