Well it has been an extended break for some, hopefully all injuries have been nursed and we are all raring to go, so let's get our heads into the game and come home this week with a few wins to celebrate our Annual Club Ball tonight.
Congratulations to Jamie Haynes who played his first senior game for the club. This has taken quite a few years to achieve as after playing a handful of U/14's games Jamie decided football wasn't for him and pursued a career in tennis. It's great to have you back at the club Jamie.
The junior Bloods played some good footy against the young Hoppers, tight in defence and moving it well into the forward line with some great goals to finish off the good work.
Our leaders in Tyrone, Drew and Aden all led the way, Tom hunted the ball down with gusto, while Harvey, Connor C and Zander continued their great years thus far. Jock had his best game as did Connor P and Mitch in what was a very even team effort.
Congratulations to Jock Hatty who plays his 50th U/14's game today against Strathmerton for the club and also to Tom Barker and Tyrone Smithers who represented the club in the PDFNL team two weeks ago in Rochester at the junior interleague carnival.
The start looked promising for our Under 17's, but not to be at the finish. Jay Buckley and Reilly Rennick worked hard all game. The boys need to keep their heads up and keep working towards that win.
Great deserved win against Yarroweyah for our Midday Show. Jarrod Morham, Nathan O'Connell and Glyn Matters were consistent all game. Keep up this effort guys.
Congratulations to Leah Pate and Millie Ferguson, who represented the club in the A Grade PDFNL team in Wagga last weekend, who incidently were the champions of the day, ably coached by another of our talented A Graders, Jacq Davis. Well done girls.
Also congratulations to Stephen Patten and Michael O'Riordan who represented us in the football in Wagga as well, ably coached by none other than our own Daniel Kirchen. Great achievement guys.
