Congratulations to our club finalists this year. On Saturday we see our A Grade and 15 & under netball sides competing and then on Sunday at Toc we see our C Grade netballers and our senior footballers fighting it out to stay in the finals chase. The club is very proud to have you all flying our flag and hopefully we will be for a few more weeks yet. All the best this weekend.
Congratulations to Sean Logie on playing his 200th club game and David Farrell for playing his 300th club game this weekend. Both of these are huge achievements. Well done to both of you. A win today would make this a great day for you both.
We held our AGM last week with a relatively new committee taking the helm for season 2016. Congratulations to Jeremy "Pica" Cardillo on taking the main chair as President. All the best with this Jeremy and hopefully we make it a successful year next year for you.
Whilst the Toc U/14's weren't able to finish with a win last Saturday, they certainly gave a good account of themselves, fighting it out to the end, against a much bigger opponent. Some of the ball movement, particularly from the younger brigade, was second to none and an indication of how much they've improved over the year.
Tommy, Drew, Zander, Taz, Harvey and Decklin all led the way, whilst the younger brigade in Braydie, Hayden and Chase made the most of their opportunities as did Mitchell, Will and Ethan. It was a good note to finish on and should give all the boys plenty of confidence going into next season.
Must say thanks to Blighty for the initiative of allowing the boys to play in front of the big crowd and also agreeing to the extra boys on the field with 52 kids running around by the end of the game.
Thanks to all the parents/helpers that have ensured all jobs have been filled each week.
It was a great game by all Under 17 boys last week. Jesse and Pete played consistent games. Cam had a fantastic game in the back line. You have all done a wonderful job sticking it out to the end of a not so easy season. Well done boys.
The Magoos finished off the year with a great win. Ben Phelan and Paul Quick played great games which will ensure their return to the senior selection board and Jordan Poynton worked extremely hard in the forward line booting five goals.
