Official Match Report
Our first home game for the year and the boys were keen to improve on last week. This week's captain Nick Benson won the toss and we elected to kick with the breeze. Despite our efforts the opposition kept us goal less in the first half and we trailed by close to 3 goals at the major break. In the third quarter the boys were instructed to kick long and kick long they did. After some great contested work in the middle by Joe, Chaz, Nick and Sam we got the ball moving our way scoring 2 goals in the first two minutes. Demonstrating great teamwork the boys kept attacking and kicked 6 unanswered goals in the third quarter lead by JC who nailed 3 for the quarter from deep in the forward pocket while keeping the opposition scoreless. In a tight last quarter our team held their positions and worked hard into the breeze to record a well deserved victory. Well done boys a great game by all that shows what we are capable of.
