After playing the top two sides in the past two weeks our boys were keen to notch up a win at home. In true winter footy conditions the boys hit the ground set to go and from the first bounce applied themselves well playing good wet weather footy and kicking 2.4 to 0.1 in the first qtr. This form continued through to half time keeping the opposition scoreless and kicking 1.5 into the wind after being stuck in the dead pocket for much of the quarter to take a 26 pt lead into the main break. At half time the boys knew the match was there for the taking and with the added inspiration of being our big ruckmen Joe Barnes 50th game the boys went on with the job after half time keeping the opposition goalless and producing a well-deserved victory. Congratulations Joe on 50 great games with the bloods!

School holidays week is always challenging for numbers and thankfully we had Sam, Alistair & Renzo join us from U13 Reds along with Lucas, Toby and Liam from U12’s who helped us field a full side during school holidays (thanks heaps boys we couldn’t have done it without you)
Special thanks also to our wonderful team managers (Marian & Joanna) for doing all of the extra things necessary to get the boys from other teams to help out this week.
