Official Match Report
A fantastic effort by all boys who represented Bentleigh U9 Red at home today against the Waverley Park Hawks. We welcomed a new recruit Riley Weston and also need to send a big thank you to Hamish McKenzie who helped us field 16 players. Whilst our boys all tried their hardest for four quarters we were up against quality opposition, who never allowed us into the game. Our backline was kept very busy and whilst they and our midfield battled all game to get the ball forward, we unfortunately didn’t get an opportunity to score. Our second quarter was the highlight, keeping our opposition scoreless, along with our last quarter which saw the Hawks take only 3 shots on goal, proving our boys never gave up! Well done boys!
