Team Match Report
The final game of the Interleague Carnival was played on the wide open spaces of the Sale Main Oval. Hopes were high that Warragul could break through for a win. However Traralgon were up to the challenge and provided strong opposition. Bit by bit Traralgon got the scoreboard moving faster than Warragul. Forward entries by Warragul looked threatening but went unrewarded.
Tyler Hodson was the Rock of Gibraltar at full back and saved Warragul time and again. Tom Hobbs’ work around the mid-field was tireless. A great passage of play beginning from half-back finished in the hands of Todd Van der Pas and he kicked truly for goal.
Well done to all the W&DJFL administration, Coaches, and helpers on providing great support for the Interleague squad. Success measured in the sides development and learning, not on the scoreboard.
