The tough conditions continued throughout the day. A blustery unrelenting crosswind made it difficult to display silky skills.
A fairly even first half, though Bairnsdale didn’t make the most of their opportunities. A goal from Mitch Virtue on the ½ time siren had Warragul snapping at the heals of the Bairnsdale boys.
After half time Bairnsdale got on top, they applied pressure at each contest and won the stoppages. They were reading the ball better in the air and so began to dominate the scoreboard. A tough afternoon for the Warragul boys, who will be keen to themselves tomorrow.
