Team Match Report
In gale force winds the Warragul boys took on Sale at the Stratford ground. The first quarter was an even contest, but Sale managed the first and only goal of the opening stanza.
The second quarter was where Sale showed their strength and converted this up forward with 3 goals. This is where Sale put a gap between the two teams.
Warragul did not throw in the towel and continued to press hard in the second half. Warragul had almost all the play in their forward line but scoring was difficult in the congestion & difficult weather conditions.
Liam Anderson was brilliant at Centre Half Forward and booted Warragul’s first major. The last quarter continued to be an even battle with a goal apiece.
