KING Valley overcame an eight-goal halftime deficit against Tarrawingee at Whitfield on Saturday before finishing all square at the final whistle in their Ovens and King netball clash.
The Roos hadn't been playing badly up until that stage but a 16-goal to 11 second quarter from the Bulldogs saw the score 31-23 at the halftime break.
Lisa Kerlin and Catherine Hill were in fantastic form for the Bulldogs while shooters Amanda Parker and Kate Mulqueen were doing the job.
But things began to turn around for the Roos early in the third quarter as they started to get the bounce of the ball.
Catherine Satori and Jessica Bussell became more influential with their shots while Felicity Miller also stood tall.
The Bulldogs could do nothing to stop the onslaught and by the final change the Roos had got to within two goals.
Tarrawingee seemed to have regrouped by the start of the final term and began to string some passes and shots together, however, the Roos continued to surge.
It was going goal-for-goal right up until the end but when the siren sounded both teams were left with 50 goals each and had to be content with two points.
MOYHU and Goorambat were likewise left with an empty feeling after their match with the scores tied at 37-all after four intense quarters.
The Hoppers got the jump early in the match and led by three goals at the first change before things tightened up.
At halftime the scores were 19-19, at the final change it was 27-27 and still there was no winner when the final whistle went.
Jenni Annett, Steph Hogan (21 goals) and Clare Sutton were the best for the Hoppers while Kate Brunt, Kylie Button and Allison Ellis performed well for the Bats.
Meanwhile, premiership favorite Milawa had to work hard to beat Whorouly by seven goals, Greta maintained top spot with a 15-goal win over Bonnie Doon while Glenrowan defeated North Wangaratta.
Benalla was too good for Bright, winning by six goals while Swanpool proved too strong for Tatong in its 55-34 triumph.
