FINALS often bring out the true nature of football sides.
The increased pressure makes some sides crumble, while others lift to another level.
Tarrawingee skipper Jamie Bell is convinced the Bulldogs belong in the second category.
The Bulldogs were dealt a 12-goal hiding last time they met Milawa, but Bell is expecting a much different outcome when the two sides clash in Sunday's preliminary final.
"This is a side that has played finals five years in a row now," Bell said.
"There are guys here who have been with the team that whole time we know what to expect.
"If you take out the last match, the last two or three years all our matches against Milawa have been close only a kick or two in it.
"They have been high pressure matches, especially the finals, and I expect nothing different this week."
Universally regarded as the best ruckman in the competition, Bell works hard to ensure his on-ballers get first use through his tap work, otherwise following up with desperate second efforts.
