A DOMINANT second half performance from Benalla saw it secure its second victory of the season with a 61-point victory over Bright at Pioneer Park on Saturday.
At the main change, the Panthers led by 23 points, however, the score could have been much closer with Bright having two more scoring shots.
But from the moment the ball was thrown up in the third quarter, Benalla took charge of the match.
Michael Donehue was outstanding with seven goals up forward while Todd Rogers, Samuel MacGregor and Richard Bull won countless possessions through the midfield.
The Panthers extended their lead to 28 points at the final change before exploding in the last term with eight goals to three to run out winners 23.9 (147) to 12.14 (86).
Kaine Dockery provided support for Donehue up forward with five majors while Bright was best served by Ricky Weimer, Tom McDonagh and Sean McGregor.
UP at King Valley, the Roos handed Goorambat a reality check with a 94-point demolition job.
A 13-goal first half set up the victory with superboot Brendan Sessions kicking eight goals after missing last week through suspension.
Ruckman Simon Hunter was oustanding while recruits Adam Williams and Matt Glossop starred in the midfield.
MEANWHILE, Whorouly, Moyhu and Bonnie Doon all racked up massive wins in their respective clashes.
Whorouly restricted Glenrowan to just one goal as it won by 254 points while Moyhu kicked 34 goals in its 183-point hiding of Swanpool.
Bonnie Doon opened its account for the season, proving too strong for Tatong, winning by 100 points.
AND Milawa caused the biggest shock of the round by smashing Tarrawingee by 103 points in yesterday's match.
