WORKING with a preliminary squad of 43 players, Ovens and King interleague football coach Finton Eames is confident of putting a very strong team on the field against Picola North West at Barooga on May 26.
And the possibility of coaching his former captain, Jamie Bell, who controversially left Tarrawingee to join North Wangaratta this year, will not be an issue, according to Eames.
With only two specialist rucks named in the squad, Bell is almost certain to play provided he is available, and Eames said he would welcome the star big man with open arms.
"What happened has happened," Eames said.
"We're adults, and we've moved on from that.
