THE B grade side was feeling relatively confident going into their game against Swanpool on Saturday following the convincing wins by the C grade and B Reserve teams.
Right from the first (of many) whistle(s), the Doon girls knew this was going to be a physical game, but that did not deter them from playing strongly and hard in return.
After a long four years since last playing competitive netball, B grade welcomed A grade coach Andrea Smith into the team, where she ran a great half in centre, directing and feeding so well that it was like she had never had a break.
With some great direct play to Leith Azzopardi in WA, and goalers Michelle Tanner (GA) and Ange Desmond (GS), goals were going nicely through the net at a steady rate.
