REIGNING premier Greta looks set to be even harder to beat this year with coach Jodie Ramage revealing star recruit Amanda Coote could play the entire season with the Blues.
Coote departed Ovens and Murray outfit Wangaratta Rovers after last year's grand final and was expected to spend much of this season travelling.
However, Coote was a surprise starter for the Blues in their opening round victory over Moyhu and Ramage said at the moment it looked like the star utility wasn't going anywhere.
"At this stage we've got her for the whole season," Ramage said.
"But we're not 100 per cent sure, that could change.
"It's great having her though because she is very versatile.
"In the first game against Moyhu she played wing defence, centre and goalkeeper."
While it may seem like a long time ago now, the Blues opened their season with a superb 56-goal win over a new-look Moyhu team two weeks ago.
Susan Ginnivan and Lindsey Tanner combined for 72 goals while Rebecca Duryea and Allyson Naish controlled the defence.
After having some great battles with Moyhu in recent years, Ramage was surprised by the winning margin but admitted she didn't know what to expect from her side either.
