Unfortunately, we were notified late Friday afternoon that Powelltown were unable to field either of their football teams, but would be fielding three netball teams. A hive of activity after the notification resulted in the Alexandra football players attending Rebel Park on Saturday where they joined the netballers, support staff and supporters with the Alexandra RSL members to line up alongside the Anzac logo painted on the ground for the Anzac commemoration. There was no gate raffle and no post games raffle. Volunteer Alexandra Hotel / Ampol fuel card awards went to Daniel and Melissa Crane. The footballers had a solid practice match after which everyone gathered in the social rooms for a presentation from Major Sarah Mooney, during which you could hear a pin drop. The Dream Team Auction was also postponed.
