The Reserves taking to the field with a number of changes, kicking four goals to one in the first quarter with both teams adding a goal in the second quarter in a bruising contest. The Eagles were fierce in their approach, sometimes incurring a yellow card but the Rebels stayed focused and maintained their advantage in an even second half, not rewarded on the scoreboard for their good work, Alexandra 8.10 – 58 to Yarra Junction 6.5 – 41.

The Seniors ran out to contest the George Steiner Cup and got the scoreboard ticking over with six goals to one before adding eight unanswered goals in the second quarter to take a handy lead at half time. The Eagles worked hard in the second half but the Rebels were able to run the ball and increase their margin with eight goals to three, Josh Edwards kicking six with Ted Watkin and Will Stewart adding four each, Alexandra 22.20 – 152 to Yarra Junction 4.1 – 25.
