The Blues kicked three goals to one in the first quarter before adding five goals to one in the second quarter to control the game, the visitors taking charge in the second half with seven unanswered goals to take the win, Alexandra 2.3 – 15 to Seville 15.15 – 105.

The Seniors, sitting top of the ladder faced second placed Seville, the ground looking great and the morning cloud having cleared. The Blues kicked three goals straight but the Rebels were struggling in front of goal with one goal from six scoring shots, both teams having four scoring shots in the second quarter with Seville kicking the only goal. The game opened up in the third quarter as the Blues added five goals to two and looked in control at the last break but the Rebels responded with five goals to two in the last quarter to close the gap but the siren sounded with the visitors ten points in front, Alexandra 8.14 – 62 to Seville 11.6 – 72.

The Dream Team Auction last Saturday was well attended and all teams sold to excited buyers as the season now continues with players working hard to earn points for the respective owners. The team that earns most points for the season will earn their owner 50% of the auction pool and the second team earns their owner 30% of the auction pool, the results announced at the Senior Presentation function on Saturday, 5th October.
